Selected work for Awakened Learning, an agency founded by Dr. Deena Kara Shaffer that focuses on personalized learning strategy support for students of all ages and stages of their educational journey.
Awakened Learning is an organization based on equity, justice, and accountability in academic spaces. Dr. Deena’s mission is to improve the quality of life, both inside and outside the classroom, for individuals, families, and educators alike.

Contextual navigation
Awakened Learning offers a wide array of services that are uniquely positioned in the educational space. We want visitors to quickly locate the information they need most to make informed decisions and covert to scheduling appointments, registering for events, or purchasing products.
INTENTION
A navigational revamp introduced new touch points and renamed existing landing pages to be more aligned with customer intuition. Breadcrumb links were incorporated within longer landing pages to act as an in-page search option that still allows for a sense of exploration across the content.
APPROACH
Digital products
Many of Awakened Learning’s offerings take place digitally, whether as a live webinar event or a downloadable video series. Visitors need to be able to find information on event details, format, cost, contents, as well as value.
INTENTION
Every product listing includes custom graphics with additional editing for cohesive digital product experiences. Product descriptions are optimized for SEO and readability, showcasing Dr. Deena’s distinct tone of voice.
APPROACH
Physical marketing materials
Awakened Learning sometimes makes a physical appearance in educational settings, on panels, and at event spaces. To capitalize on interactions with potential customers, we designed physical marketing materials and merchandise that showcase the brand.
INTENTION
APPROACH
Using the brand’s style elements we highlighted Awakened Learning’s other offerings and website by producing post cards, bookmarks, and a reflection journal.
